I'm not a big proponent of affinity or specialty days (or months). My philosophy is that we should put energy towards Earth Day everyday, the same way we should acknowledge Black History, AAPI, and Hispanic Heritage throughout the year with the choices we make.
I've been watching a lot of Star Trek lately (“Discovery,” starring Sonequa Martin-Green and Michelle Yeoh) and between that and the recent space "flight," I've been thinking about how it's easy to say "save Earth" but... how? Feels a lot like boiling the ocean.
I write about shopping and style, and I aim to promote conscious shopping—not to preach, but to share without contradicting where my heart is. Because yes, I like to shop, but I'm not trying to add to another island of trash or the practice of discarding human life and dignity to make stuff I buy.
Bottomline for me: It's about choice. So in celebration of choices, I'm just trying to make better ones every day. In this special edition of Price Upon Request, I offer my round up of great content that helps you, me, us do that better.

What I’m loving
Cool crib sheet on the specifc impact we can have with some needle and thread.
Last year, Woolmark put out this short film, Wear Wool, Not Waste, that’s beautifully intense and intriguing. It’s The Walking Dead meets premium clothing campaign. Very thoughtful and creative.

I love it when brands take the Reuse, Refill, Recycle mantra and translate it into plainspeak to make it actionable for the everyday.
